PCT 22' Strava journal - Day 56

A first draft:

 

We speed up towards Silver pass trying to avoid a thunder and lightning storm on the ridge. Clouds are not looking great and we find shelter in our tent 300m before the summit. We are pretty lucky with the storm and after two hours of soft hail and some thunder and lightning in the distance, we are ready to hike on. Silver pass is beautiful and it looks like we ran into an entire new hiker bubble. The descent is steep and after a pretty tiring day we set up our tent next to the tents of a few other trail families.
